Taylorsville Reminders and Opportunities!!

Here are some friendly reminders and opportunities to participate in the Taylorsville Community:

Mayor’s Town Meeting

Don’t forget about the Mayor’s Town Meeting/Open House tonight at 6 p.m.

Meals on Wheels

Salt Lake County’s Meals on Wheels Program is seeking volunteer drivers to deliver meals to our older adult population in Taylorsville. The Meal on Wheels Delivery Team is an on-going volunteer opportunity and it will be designed to take just one hour for the volunteer assigned to deliver meals each day to eight clients.

Depending on the number of individuals who volunteer to participate with our MOW Delivery Team, a volunteer could deliver once a week or once a month.  Plus, there is flexibility to deliver the meals within the schedule between 11:30a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Meal Delivery Team service provides the opportunity to build exceptional employee morale, facilitates employee communication, promotes team building, and provides great corporate social impact.

Interested individuals please contact:

A Welcome to the New Year and Our New Elected Officials

Our new elected officials were sworn into office on January 6, 2014, in the City Council Chambers at Taylorsville City Hall.  Taylorsville’s City Recorder, Cheryl Peacock Cottle, swore them in.

We again would like to congratulate Mayor Larry Johnson, Council Member Daniel J. Armstrong, Council Member Dama Barbour, and Council Member Brad Christopherson.

As our elected officials get ready for the new year they will remember the words of Albert Einstein, “Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.”
